Cartwheels on the front lawn and hopscotch on the sidewalk—what could be better suited for summer than shorts and a breezy top? The Finch Shorts feature full pleats, button details (but no buttonholes!), cuffed bottoms and an elastic back waistband. The coordinating Finch Top has a racerback style that allows for plenty of arm movement for swinging from tree branches. An oversized bow artfully disguises the hook and loop closure on one shoulder.

For Sizes 2T-8

• The Finch Shorts work well with cotton twill, linen, and most other mid-weight woven fabric. The Finch Top works well with cotton, linen or other light- to mid-weight woven fabric. The bow is made in the contrasting lining fabric. Approximate yardage amounts (with or without nap) are provided in the table below.

  - 1 1/2” of 3/4” wide hook and loop closure

  - 1/4 yard lightweight interfacing
  - 4 buttons (between 3/4” -1” in diameter) (a shank-style button is best)
  - 1” elastic in the following length: 7 1/2” for size 2T, 8” for size 3T, 8 1/2” for size 4T, 9” for size 5, 9 1/2” for size 6, 10” for size 7 and 10 1/2” size 8
